Coca-Cola are Launching Worlds First Ever Coca-Cola Slushie

Damn! Summer Time is about to be a whole lot sweeter!

Coca-Cola has just unveiled their newest product! Coca-Cola Frozen and Fanta Frozen! I mean I don’t know what we’ve done to be blessed with this but I shall not complain!

Picture it now Summer BBQ season, chilling with family and friends or chilling in the park with the new Frozen slushie, your taste buds, and mouth are not ready for this type of refreshing beverage. But the first thing I see people doing is adding alcohol to the Slushi right!?

Basically, when the time comes and it will when we complain about being too hot and that we’ll do anything to cool down, Coca-Cola has answered our prayers. The first Coke flavour is ‘Coke Lemon’!

The pouches will be sold both already frozen and also unfrozen, for those who want to put them in their freezers when they get back home.

The Coke company will also be releasing two of their Fanta flavors in the same way, Grape and Orange!

The Coca-Cola Frozen was confirmed during an interview on the company’s website, Jorge Garduño, Coca-Cola’s Japan president, had this to say:

“This is a canned drink that includes alcohol; traditionally, it is made with a distilled beverage called shochu and sparkling water, plus some flavouring.

We haven’t experimented in the low alcohol category before, but it’s an example of how we continue to explore opportunities outside our core areas.”

Jorge Added:

“Coca-Cola has always focused entirely on non-alcoholic beverages, and this is a modest experiment for a specific slice of our market.”

“The Chu-Hi category is found almost exclusively in Japan. Globally, it’s not uncommon for non-alcoholic beverages to be sold in the same system as alcoholic beverages. It makes sense to give this a try in our market.”

The Chief Executive of Coke Added:

“There’s a lot of focus on innovation. We’re making innovations in Coke, innovations with flavours, innovations with ingredients all around the world . . . taking it into different categories than it was in before.”

This all sounds so, so great, right? Well think again the product is only launching in Japan this summer, but I wouldn’t get to hung up on it, we can import right!

And if the product rises to success I can see it launching in many more territories soon!
